'A Patch of Colour' by Jen Channing
'Sweetbriar House' Lithgow Craft Co-op Great Western Highway Lithgow
From Saturday, 26 June 2010 to Wednesday, 11 August 2010
Having a lifelong love of art and crafts, and in particular painting, Jen Channing is a gifted artist in her own right and her work has led her into several different facets of her chosen craft. Jen has now branched out into such things as patch working which is an extension of her painting as they are more like art work than needlework. She designs and hand makes jewellery which is of a very high standard again reflecting her artistic prowess. Jen passes on her love of these crafts on to others by conducting classes in patch working both locally at Beehive, as well as a small group at Blackheath. An exhibition to showcase this multi talented lady will be held at the Lithgow Craft Co-op opening on the 26th June and running until the 11th August. She will have Art works, handmade jewellery and Art patchwork quilts on display and it will be an exhibition not to miss. The official opening will be performed on the 26th June at 2pm at the Lithgow Craft Co-op Great Western Highway and an invitation is extended to everyone to come along and view this very interesting collection of works. For more information on this or any other exhibition you can phone the Craft Shop on or email Audrey Staines, the Publicity Officer for Lithgow Craft Co-op.
