Sample a smorgasbord of local produce at The Tablelands Way Oberon Farmers Markets.

Each month the lovely quaint grounds at St Barnabas Church become a flurry of activity complete with some truly delightful smells which lure passers by to come for a look, and end up leaving with an armload of locally produced goodies.

Around 30 stalls gather under the canopy of trees in the charming grounds all year around, and if you get there nice and early, prepare to be amazed with the diversity of local produce. You will find local fruit and vegetables,  knitwear, alpaca products, handmade local crafts, art work, freshly roasted coffee, wines, olives, jewelry, bags,  homemade pies and cakes and other baked goods, local eggs, clothing, homemade jams and preserves, essential oils, fresh baked bread, and many other gourmet treats available.

Wander the pretty grounds, sip a freshly brewed coffee and munch on a gourmet local hot lamb and relish roll, listening to a live static broadcast of Oberon’s local radio station, Hightop FM.

Often there is a special theme for the markets, and these are not to be missed!

The Christmas in July markets, and of course the Christmas markets, are a particular treat, with Christmas pudding, mince pies, hot mulled wine, as well as tinsel and Christmas goods indulging market-goers. Even Santa makes an appearance!

The best part of the markets, even better than the fantastic goodies you will take home, is the opportunity for locals and visitors alike to celebrate local bounty. Visitors get to experience a big dose of local character while they sample our local produce.

The Tablelands Way Oberon Farmers Markets are held on the morning of every first Saturday of the month, and whether you have made a home in Oberon or just passing through, bring a big basket!
