Driving to Oberon from Sydney
Bells Line of Road:
Approx. 2 hours 39 mins
The fastest driving route from Sydney with less traffic is to head towards Richmond NSW via the M2 and M7 motorways exiting via the Richmond Road turnoff. From Richmond travel through the Blue Mountains along the Bells Line of Road (approx. 58km) and take the Darling Causeway (approx. 10km) to Mount Victoria. Turn right at the Great Western Highway. Stay on the Great Western Highway for approximately 11km. You will descend the western side of the Blue Mountains and drive through Hartley, past Historic Hartley Village then take the next turn left on to Jenolan Caves Road (~24km) and then right on to Duckmaloi Road (~24km) until you reach Oberon.

An alternative route is to travel via the M4 motorway and Great Western Highway through the more popular towns of Glenbrook, Springwood, Wentworth Falls, Leura, Katoomba and Blackheath across the Blue Mountains. Ideal if you wish to stop and take in the scenery. This route will only take around 10 minutes longer, however in peak times could be significantly slower. The route to Oberon is the same as above from Mount Victoria.
Driving to Oberon from Goulburn
Approx. 1 hour 51 mins
If you are coming from the ACT or Victoria, once you reach Goulburn you can bypass the Sydney metropolitan area altogether taking the Goulburn-Taralga-Oberon and Abercrombie roads. Simply follow the signs.
