The Oberon Museum offers visitors the opportunity to step back into the past with it's large outdoor display of early farm machinery and a comprehensive indoors collection of artifacts and pioneer memorabilia housed inside the original railway station and adjoining two saloon rail carriages, all dating back to the 1920's.

Walk through an authentic early settler's home built in the early 1880's, fully furnished, complete with a fully functional blacksmith workshop, tools and forge. Open by appointment by phoning (02) 6336 1016, our Museum will provide a quiet and welcome break for Tourists and Coach Tours alike.

At the Cobweb Craft Shop view the 8 Bicentennial Tapestries, designed by artist Kim Rabbidge and hand stitched by over 70 local needle workers.

Visit Abercrombie Caves - the largest natural arch in the Southern hemisphere. Self-guided and guided tours. Bushwalking and fossicking. Visit Jenolan Caves. Cave tours, bushwalking, adventure tours and specially theme tours.

Picnic, swim or fish for trout at Flat Rock (between Tarana and O'Connell), O'Connell (near the bridge), Rockley Weir, Burraga Dam Reserve and Lake Oberon (no swimming). Lakes Lyell and Chifley permit boating.

Search the pine forests for wood mushrooms for the table or photography.

Enjoy the facilities of the Oberon RSL Club, Rugby Leagues Football Club and Golf Club.

By prior arrangement, enjoy a garden tour or visit the nurseries.

Swim in Oberon's swimming pool, enjoy a game of golf, tennis (all weather courts), lawn bowls or squash.

Explore Kanangra Boyd and Abercrombie National Parks. Take in the views from Mount Bindo at Hampton.

Go horse riding with High Country Trail Rides or Yarrabin Holiday Ranch. with experienced guides. Relax on a farm and enjoy Self Catering or Bed & Breakfast facilities. Take part in some of our annual events as a competitor or as a spectator.
